Stress Awareness Month
Stress is a natural part of life that seems to wreak havoc when one is unsure how to deal with it. While all consumed with thoughts of how to get things done, it can be incredibly hard to keep your thoughts straight. April is Stress Awareness Month and we are here to share our top 5 tips to help you get a handle on your stress.
- Take a deep breath and exhale slowly. Sometimes being intentional with your breathing is the best way to slow down.
- Take a walk. There’s nothing like taking a quick break and enjoying mother nature to remind you that there’s more to the world than what you are stressed about.
- Play your favorite music. Music has been proven to reduce stress levels, so play your favorite music and relax.
- Take on a new hobby. Always wanted to start a new hobby, but never found the time? Pick something you’ve always wanted to do and allow yourself a set time to devote to it when you get stressed.
- Plan out your action plan. Sometimes we feel stressed because we don’t have a plan. Take some time to evaluate what is priority. You might find that what you’re stressing out about can easily be tackled.
